Reality: Seeing My Name In Print!

The past 24 hours I have felt like a kid trying to hold in what they got someone for Christmas! Yesterday I got to see the cover for the first time. There it was, MY NAME! I am not ashamed to tell you, I got teary eyed seeing. My name is on a book cover! A real for real book! It is a gorgeous cover, too. (Not that I'm biased or anything, mind you.) To me it looked like one of the most beautiful things in the world!

Granted, I imagine that today will pale in comparison with the day I can finally hold it in my hands, finally touch it and know without a doubt that this it is real! But, let me tell you dear readers, this is a rush! I truly got all tingly seeing my name in print... MY NAME!!!

OK, I know this is a bit heavy on the caps and exclamation points, but I have waited for this a long time and it's an even bigger feeling than I thought it would be. I'm still a bit afraid to ask someone to pinch me, just in case it might actually be a dream and it could all go away. But it's right there, in black and white! Well, it's more blue and grey really, and WOW does that orange pop!

I wanted to come and write something profound marking today as this memorable occasion, but instead I'm babbling a bit like an overflowing brook. But, you know what? That's ok, too, because hopefully the joy is contagious and I hope that you can feel at least a little of how this has made me feel today.

Defaulting to yet another cliche... Dreams do come true!
